“See You at Arnis’s” – preceded by “bad luck about your puncture” or skipping through a red light and leaving your mates on Port Road whilst trying to get to the front of the coffee queue will not be quite the same with the passing of Arnis Rossi this week.
My first ride with the Fatboys ended at Arnis’s Kiosk with the legendary $5 – mugaccino and fruit toast deal which remained the standard for at least a decade – served by Arnis. We have followed Arnis through his bids to become Lord Mayor and his long term battle with illness. He has been a constant in the Fatboys cycling journey and will be sadly missed.
